What should I do if my child is going to be late or absent from school?
Please report all absences and tardies (late arrivals) to Rene in the School Office. Call (650) 858-0508 or email barronattendance@pausd.org.

How do I get to school?
Click to see traffic flow in our school parking lot and recommended walk and bike routes to school.

What school supplies do I need to send with my child to school?
There is no school supply list! Each fall, the Barron Park PTA purchases all school supplies for each classroom according to the teacher’s needs–so parents are not asked to purchase these individually. This saves time for parents and assures that each teacher gets exactly what they need. The PTA requests that families make a per-student donation towards the cost of the school supplies.
With your donations, the Barron Park PTA is also able to fund books, playground equipment, iPad tablets and related accessories, etc. Thank you for your contribution!
Please note that parents and students may still want to do back-to-school shopping for full-sized backpacks, lunch boxes, and reusable water bottles.
TK and Kinder families may also want to prepare a bag of backup clothing (shirt, shorts or pants, socks, underwear) to keep in your child’s backpack because accidents do and will happen!

What food do I need to pack for my child?
All students will need to pack a healthy snack and a water bottle. 1st-5th graders will also need to either bring lunch from home or purchase lunch at school.
Barron Park offers both brunch and lunch service. For information about how to order, please visit our district website.
If you child is staying for after school care, make sure to include lunch and/or snacks as appropriate.

What are my options for after school care?
There are two after school centers who share our campus, but are not directly affiliated with PAUSD or Barron Park School.

Do I see a preschool on campus?
Yes, the Barron Park Children’s Center (BPCC) is a preschool that is located on the Barron Park campus and run by PACCC (Palo Alto Community Child Care).
Please contact them directly at (650) 856-7559 if you are interested in enrolling a younger child.

Where do my PTA membership fees go?
Most of the fee goes to both the Barron Park PTA and the California State PTA (CAPTA) who provides the insurance which allows the Barron Park PTA to operate.

How do I know what’s happening at school?
Get connected to stay on top of everything!

How do I get involved?
Thanks for asking! Become part of our community by attending school events, meeting other families, and getting to know your child’s classmates.
You can always ask your teacher if they need any classroom volunteers. Our school library also needs parent volunteers to work with their child’s classroom. The PTA always welcomes help with activities and events.

The Barron Park Parent Teacher Association is a fun, creative and active group of parents dedicated to enriching the Barron Park school experience for all students.
